Exploring Panantukan Focus Mitt Drills for Enhanced Striking Proficiency

Developed by the renowned Guro Rick Faye, these dynamic focus mitt drills delve into the intricacies of Panantukan, fostering a seamless collaboration between the pad holder and striker. The key to mastering these drills lies in the coordination of movements and establishing a strong rapport between the two participants. Panantukan's ambidextrous nature emphasizes the need to practice these combinations from both leads.

The Mechanics

In each combination, denoted by an asterisk (*), a lead switch occurs, executed by advancing with the rear leg, culminating in a powerful strike with the lead hand. The "BH" strike, comprising options like hammerfist, knifehand, or forearm, serves a dual purpose – delivering impactful blows or strategically destabilizing the opponent by leveraging their body.
