FX
FX promises an a-maze-ing experience for San Diego Comic-Con 2022 attendees, with the network announcing a massive labyrinth as part of its presence at the event. "To elevate the on-site experience, #FXSDCC will feature a walkable labyrinth situated on 100,000 sq. ft. of outdoor space, for attendees to uncover secrets, scares, and surprising giveaways along the way."
Produced in collaboration with Creative Riff, the #FXSDCC experience will be located at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront lawn at 1 Park Blvd.
The offsite will be open during the following hours:
Thursday, July 21 10am-6pm
Friday, July 22 11am-6pm
Saturday, July 23 10am-6pm
Sunday, July 24 11am-4pm
It’s just not San Diego Comic-Con without FX on the Hilton Bayfront Lawn, their “home base” for several years. Each year, FX delights and scares (but in the best way) attendees at their immersive offsite, holding activations for several of their series. This year, fans will be able to “descend” into the underworld of American Horror Stories, What We Do In the Shadows, and Little Demon with a walkable labyrinth situated on 100,000 sq. ft. of outdoor space, for attendees to uncover secrets, scares, and surprising giveaways along the way. You’ll be able to step into the Garden of the Dolls with American Horror Stories, where fans will venture through an activation and even get a chance to recieve a makeup look by the artist who helped design this season’s dolls. Familiars and creatures of the night alike can party like the undead at What We Do In the Shadows Nadja’s nightclub, where you’ll be able immortalize your weekend with a photo op. You can have a hell of a time at the Little Demon Den, where you’ll descend further into the world of FX’s new animated comedy. FX will also be hosting an evening of “hilarious fright” on Friday, July 22 from 8pm-11pm. Fans will get an exclusive screening of the series premiere of Little Demon and the latest episode of What We Do In the Shadows.
Bob's Burgers & Dr. Strange Activations
In celebration of the Digital and Blu-ray™/DVD releases of Marvel Studios’ Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and 20th Century Studios’ The Bob’s Burgers Movie, Disney Media and Entertainment Distribution are bringing several exciting offsites for attendees this year. They’ll be taking over the lawn near the Omni hotel with two activations featuring immersive photo ops, games, and complimentary burgers to “get the patty started”.
Bob's Burgers
First, get your buns over to the The Bob’s Burgers Movie activation on Thursday, July 21 – Saturday, July 23 (open 10am-6pm daily) for photo ops, a chance to play the “Lucky Ducks” game, and to enjoy a complimentary burger during the daily “Patty Hour” from 3-6pm daily — while supplies last and on a first-come, first-served basis.
Dr. Strange Free!
Thursday through Sunday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; On 6th Avenue Near the Omni Hotel. You can experience Universe-838 for yourself with the Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness “Pop-A-Poppa” experience. It’s your chance to play a game inspired by Pizza Poppa, who always gets paid (and maybe may get a pop punch) at the Doctor Strange Multiverse of Madness activation. Fans will be given a chance to win prizes, as well as enter a new reality with themed photo ops in the multiverse.
HBO Max & Cartoon Network
Outside the convention center, the Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego will offer a Bat-tastic inflatable display photo op. Plus, attendees can enjoy photo opportunities with Cookie Monster at a supersized “Sesame Street Mecha Builders” inflatable located near the Omni San Diego Hotel.
Apple TV+
Attendees will also have the opportunity to get “severed” and immerse themselves in the world of Lumon Industries, the fictional (but slightly too real) company from Severance. The Hard Rock Hotel will transform into an immersive experience that takes “employees” through their first day on the severed floor where all of their senses will be required if they hope to be reunited with their “outtie”. Maybe if we’re very good, we’ll get a waffle party.
Netflix The Gray Man Training Program
Do you have what it takes to be the next The Gray Man? The upcoming Netflix film, which stars Ryan Gosling and Chris Evans, will be dropping on Friday, July 22 — and Netflix is celebrating by bringing “The Gray Man Training Program” to San Diego Comic-Con. Fans will be able to enter an interactive escape experience set on a tram car, inspired by the chase scene in the new film. Once aboard the tram, fans will have to prove they have what it takes to become the next Gray Man in a test of skill, strength, and speed while transporting a top secret file to safety before the mercenaries catch up and the time runs out. The heart pounding mission will include various obstacles and special effects, and will culminate in a rooftop sprint as fans race against the clock to complete the mission. Fans will leave with a badass customized social takeaway that puts them at the center of their own action film. To accept your mission, head to the ABM Parking Lot on the corner of First Ave and Island Ave on Thursday, July 21 – Saturday, July 23 from 10am-7pm, or Sunday, July 24 from 11am-4pm. Of note, though, is that this looks to be taking over the traditional Amazon spot.
