Mastering The C.C.S. Protocols: The Art of Tactical Progression

Updated: Apr 25

In the realm of self-defense, understanding the dynamics of threat assessment and the appropriate response is crucial. At Cali Combat Systems (CCS), we delve into a comprehensive approach, breaking down the intricacies into three distinct levels: Combatives for Civilians, Control for Law Enforcement/Security, and Stopping / Termination for Military/VIP Security.

Combatives - Civilian - Self Defense: Bite, Fight, Get Away

For civilians, the emphasis lies in the art of self-preservation. The mantra is simple: fight when necessary, survive through strategic moves, and make a swift exit. Techniques like the "Stun & Run" become essential, ensuring you can incapacitate momentarily and create a window for escape.

Control - Law Enforcement / Security: Implementing the 3 Laws Safe

Law enforcement and security personnel adhere to the 3 Laws Safe methodology:

  1. Control & Restrain: Employ techniques to manage and subdue without causing harm.

  2. Combatives: Mastering empty-hand combat, impact tools like batons, and stun devices such as mace or a Taser.

  3. Stop/Termination: Understand the duty knife as a backup and effective gun retention/use.

Stopping / Terminate - Military / VIP Security: Elevating to Termination Tactics

Military and VIP security operate at the termination level, focusing on tactics that bring conflicts to an end swiftly. Team coordination and scalable use of force are vital components in this domain.

Scalable Self-Defense: Adapting to the Threat Assessment

Understanding that the response should match the threat assessment is paramount. Avoid using lethal force in non-life-threatening situations, and tailor your actions based on pre-fight indicators.

Advanced Tactics: Navigating Complex Scenarios

At advanced levels, we delve into specialized scenarios, including fighting hand-cuffed, dealing with hostage situations, carjackings, and self-defense in various environments like buses, homes, or airplanes.

Mastering CCS Protocols isn't just about combat; it's about navigating the complex landscape of potential threats with strategic precision. As you progress through the levels, you gain a comprehensive understanding of tactical progression, ensuring you're equipped to handle diverse situations effectively.
