Those are the CCS Phase One Levels 1 - 3 Sets and Rounds Requirements to earn your Green Phase 2 - Rank Band.

The Sets and Rounds for each phase level are what you are tested on.

The first tests are on Phase 1 Level 1. Then P1L2 (which is Jr rank) and then P1L3 (which is Sr rank and first Student Coaching Assistant opportunity) and then you will be eligible to get for P2 L1 which is Green or the 2nd actual rank. This is a way of tracking progression, providing goals and advancing through curriculum. The Sr or L3 Ranks of each Phase are Student Coaching or Apprentice Ranks opportunities.

Come join us Cali Combat Systems provides an integrated course schedule of learning through exploration, scrutiny, and self-reflection based on what Guro Dan Inosanto calls JKD Phase Classes. Our classes combine hands-on curriculum based experience with knowledge-based instruction - take a look at our offerings and contact us to learn more.

JKD PHASE METHOD CLASSES

In our Phase classes students are taught the ranges of combat and how to easily flow from each range: Impact Weapons Range, Edged Weapons Range, Kicking into Hand range, Hand Range into Close Quarter Trapping and Clinch Grappling Range, Close Quarter Trapping Range, into Grappling or Ground Fighting Range. Emphasizing the “ranges of combat.” Students are taught to confidently and with ease “Combat Flow” from Three Ranges Long Distance: "Weapons Range," "Blunt Weapons Range," "Edged Weapons Range," ”Kicking Range,” to Middle Distance: “Hand Range,” to Close Quarter: “Trapping Range," "Clinch Range," and "Grappling Range." The proper Use of Weapons utilizing Offense, Counter Offense and Recounter Offense ("defense is the other guys problem" - Tuhon Apolo Ladra) are taught in an easy to remember and efficient Method of Application. We also teach Gun Disarms and the Proper Use and Handling of Firearms.

Movement is universal no one single style or system has it all. Students learn what works in a particular situation, against a particular opponent, and when another technique or series of techniques would be more practical and effective. Developed for “Mass Attack” (Multiple Opponents training to deal with Three Opponents) as well as Single Opponent confrontations, the training heightens student’s "Situational Awareness" of their surroundings and teaches them to use their environment as tools / "Weapons of Opportunity" of combat. Everyday objects, such as Umbrellas, Books, Bandannas, etc., become effective means of Self-Defense in the hands of a properly trained individual. Use of left and right hand techniques develop ambidextrous coordination.

Drills and techniques taught in a fluid, non-restrictive manner allow students to enhance their natural attributes and improve their sense of timing, speed, awareness, balance, agility, and confidence. Classes are preferred small to provide the students with the individual attention needed to progress.

This fun and challenging class contains the base for your development here at CCS. Students are encouraged to work at their own pace. Our goal is to get you in shape but we want you to be comfortable and enjoy the process so you can go home safe. As you progress through the three levels of Phase One, you will begin to work on your body mechanics, endurance, sensitivity, coordination and technical base. Our curriculum covers 6 primary arts or methods that are absolutely essential; Jeet Kune Do, Inosanto-LaCoste Kali, Kali-KunTao Silat, Panantukan, Jun Fan Martial Arts, and Israeli Krav Maga.

The JKD Phase Method is the teaching methodology we use to help the individual to express themselves honestly to make the Jun Fan Martial Arts their own.
