Unlocking the Essence: 3 Core Principles of CCS

Dive into the heart of close-quarters combat with the foundational principles that underscore the seamless integration of CCS. Explore the intricacies of Entries, Pressure, and Termination, unraveling the strategic brilliance that defines these martial disciplines.

1. Methods to not D.I.E. Entries – Attacks / Offense

1.1 Brim Of Fire – Unleashing Fight Rhythm

The dance begins with the Brim of Fire, a strategic space where opponents must move to engage. Establishing Fight Rhythm becomes paramount, and the C.O.M.B.A.T. principle comes into play—Intercepting adversaries in the Attack Time.

1.2 Attack Time: B.D.A. (Before, During, After)

Navigate Attack Time with precision: Intercept Before, Destroy/Deflect During, and Evade/Riposte or Ghost (Range Out) After. The O.C.R. mindset prevails—Defense is the other guy's problem. The goal is Bypass the OODA Loop through repetitive drills, ranging from 1,000 to 10,000 reps, cultivating attributes of Self Preservation and Self-Perfection.

2. Pressure – Flow – Bridge / Counter Offense

2.1 Retzev – Unyielding Forward Pressure

Feel the constant forward pressure of Retzev, infusing your movements with an unrelenting flow. Here, Pressure becomes a bridge—a conduit for countering offensive maneuvers.

3. Terminate – Terminate / Recounter Offense

3.1 Trapping – Sticking – Street Trapping + HKE

In the final act, Termination takes center stage. Engage in the artistry of Trapping, Sticking, and Street Trapping, seamlessly transitioning to the potency of Head, Knees, and Elbows (HKE). Clinching becomes a method of Control, paving the way for Street Grappling.

Embark on this martial journey where Entries, Pressure, and Termination intertwine to create a symphony of strategic brilliance. Master the dance of combat, and let the principles of CCS, Street JKD, PTK, and TrapFighting guide your path to martial excellence.
